              ABOUT US

                               Church Creed

We believe that the bible was written by men divinely inspired, with God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without error for its matter.

We believe that the one and only true and living God, and infinite and intelligent Spirit; whose name is Jehovah is the maker and supreme ruler of Heaven and Earth; that in unity of the God Head are three persons, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit; equal in every perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the work of redemption.

We believe that man was created in holiness; but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state. Therefore all mankind are sinners, not by constraint but by choice.

We believe that salvation of sinners is wholly of grace through the mediatory offices of the Son of God; who by the appointment of the Father, freely took upon Him our nature, yet without sin; honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and by His death made a full atonement for our sins; that having risen from the dead He is now enthroned in heaven, and an all sufficient Savior.

We believe that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the gospel.

We believe that in order to be saved. Sinners must be born again; that consists in giving a holy disposition to the mind; so as to secure our voluntary obedience to the gospel.

We believe that repentance and faith are sacred duties, wrought in our souls by the regenerating Spirit of God; when by being convinced of our guilt and danger and the way of salvation by Christ, we turn to God with contrition, confession, and supplication for mercy.

We believe that sanctification is the process by which we are made partakers of God’s Holiness; that it is a progressive work, began in regeneration, and carried on by the presence and power of the Word of God by means of the Holy Ghost, self examination, self denial, watchfulness and prayer.

We believe that the end of this world is approaching; that Christ will descend from Heaven ad raise the dead from the grave to final retribution; that a separation will take place, the punishment of the wicked, and righteous to endless joy; this judgment will fix forever the final state of men.

                            Church Covenant

Being lead, as we believe, by the Spirit of God; to receive the Lord Jesus as our Savior, having received the Spirit of promise, we do now in the presence of God, enter into covenant with one another, as one Body of Christ.

We engage; by the help of the Holy Ghost, to walk together in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge an holiness; to sustain its worship; ordnances and discipline, to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, and the spread of the gospel.

We also engage to religiously educate our children; to be just in our dealings faithful in our engagement, and exemplary in our deportment.

We engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; remember each other in prayer; and each other in sickness and distress; to be slow to take offence; bit always ready for reconciliation.
